Manager In Training
It all starts with a comprehensive training program simply called Manager In Training (MIT). But this is no ordinary training program. “There are no windowless classrooms and endless training manuals,” says Mike Hansen, a former MIT and current Division Manager. “I got to work from the start, and the amount of time I spent in training depended on how fast I learned.” The program covers four main areas of business:
- Production
- Sales
- Administration
- Management
Each MIT is assigned to an experienced District Manager to be mentored while completing the program (six to 36 months). The MIT program is open to all who have a desire to let their entrepreneurial spirit live! A college degree, construction experience or management experience is preferred. Candidates must be willing to relocate, but geographical preferences are strongly considered.
Division Manager
Upon successfully completing the MIT program (six to 36 months),you’re on your way to Division Manager (DM), overseeing branch operations in a given city. Each MCS division is its own profit center. Division Managers help determine the proper product mix to meet the demands of their local markets, while managing budgets, branch action plans and P&L statements to grow a successful operation. “Working for MCS is like running a business of my own,” says John Feigel, District Manager for the Orlando, Florida, area. “Not only do I have the support of the Regional Office in Daytona Beach, but I also share in the profits that I help generate.”
